MY TOP LACQUERS

Hello! I have over 80 different nail varnishes if we aren't including back ups (god forbid they discontinue my favourite shades!) but there are 3, all from the same range that really have my heart. I tend not to waste my time and money on more expensive polishes and focus on those on offer in Boots at drugstore prices. You get the best out of the drugstore when it comes to nails, from Barry M's Gelly Hi-Shine's to Maybelline's Super Stay 7, but Rimmell's 60 Second polishes have a very special place in my heart. I honestly don't know why I don't own more. Perhaps part of the reason is that I mostly only wear these three shades!

Rose Libertine is my all time favourite nail polish shade. My nail varnish storage is a blur of pink's but this is one that I can't help but put on my nails. A kind of dusty rose colour that isn't bright, neon or too dark. It's just perfect and it has lasted 7 days on my nails in the past with minimal tip wear and chips on many occasions. That is a winner.

The next two I have are from Rita Ora's range - White Hot Love and Breakfast in Bed. White Hot Love is, unsurprisingly, a white. It is opaque in 2 coats and is slightly pearlized. This isn't noticeable in all lights and I actually think it fades after a day or two of being on your tips. Also, doesn't look like Tipex which is a massive bonus. As with Rose Libertine, the formula is spot on and I can wear it for 5-7 days before I need to take it off (and reapply straight away!)

Breakfast in Bed is a minty blue, rather than a minty green such as Pillow Talk from her range. This colour really enhances my tan that I got last week and I really love it. It also goes with my phone case, which I think is so cute. I haven't worn it without changing my colour before it gets awful yet, but if they're consistent it should be the same as the others!

The brushes and formulas for all polishes are on point. The brushes allow you to coat your nail in one or two swipes and the formula just lasts bloody well and is super shiny. When winter roles around, I will definitely be investing in some darker colours from Rimmel's 60 Second range but in the meantime I've got my beady eyes on Lose You Lingere and Pillow Talk (both by Rita Ora) as well as Mind The Gap Victoria from their permanent collection. With the £3.69 price tag, I can't fault these beauties. I'd be happy to just have this range as my whole nail polish collection!

Have you tried any of Rita Ora's colours? Or any from their permanent collection?

April Favourites!

Hello! The month of April has been quite skincare based for me as I'm trying to fix my skin but I have only included my favourite in this! Doing favourites posts makes me wish I did YouTube because it makes for such a long post! I've seriously been using all of these things to death so I wanted to share them with you all.

1. Bershka Jeans - I am rather slim and finding my size in trousers is a pain in the butt. However, I walked into Bershka and found they sold size 4's in a majority of their trousers. I picked these up as I can wear them to school as part of my suit and they are so comfortable! They're slightly stretchy which I love and they fit me well around the waist and my legs which I always struggle with. They weren't too expensive either! I've never really explored Bershka but I will be going back!

2. The Body Shop Vitamin E Serum in Oil - This has been a life saver! It's restoring my skin back to how it was before I had lot's of dry patches and making my make up sit a lot better the day after I've used it. It makes my skin so soft when I apply it and I feel it looks a lot more nourished and brighter. I use it 2 or 3 times a week and leave it over night, applying my moisturizer only on the places where my skin skin is particularly problematic. I've spoken about it in my skincare post here!

3. Rimmel 60 Seconds Polish in Rose Libertine - I bought this back in October as I'd seen EssieButton talk about it and I'm so glad I bought it. It's been in the back of my nail polish collection for far too long and I dug it out at the beginning of the month. This is one of my favourite polishes to apply and I definitely need to get some more summery colours (to add to the 80 others in my collection...) It's a beautiful rose colour that I bet will look even more beautiful with a tan and without top coat it lasts a good 4 days without dramatic chipping. Love it.

4. Benefit Coralista Blush - I love this blush for a pretty flush with a slight highlight. It has a sheen without it being super shiny and is great to wear everyday for an extra glow! It's quite similar to NARS Day Dream which I've also been loving this month but I find this has a bit more glow and luminosity and I love it!

5. Wayfarers by Rayban - I've spoken about these in a post already here but I have loved being able to whip these out more often this month because the sun is finally coming out for more than 20 minutes! It's actually quite warm! I love them and they go with everything - so classic!

6. Reverse Washing - I must admit, I've done this for quite a while and I didn't really realize it was a thing until I saw a couple of posts on it. Reverse washing is using your conditioner first rather than second which might seem strange until you try it for yourself. I do this every time after I swim and find it removes residue and makes is so much easier to detangle once you're out the shower. I also find it gives my hair a bit more volume as it's not as weighed down and it means there is longer between washes!

7. Frozen - I think I've watched this 4 times now? I've made several of my friends watch it and I love the songs. Might not be quite the months for it, but I really do love this film and I see why there is so much hype!

What have you been loving this month?

Favourite Songs: Waves - Mr. Probz / Stay High - Tove Lo / High Hopes - Flious Remix / Love is an Open Door - Frozen (watch it! watch it now!)

January Favourites (& Welcome)

Hello! I've been well and truly out of the blogging loop recently. I previously had a blog which I didn't feel very passionate about and always felt I was posting sub-standard content so I sat back for a while while I got some inspiration and motivation and now I'm back with posts about what I love - beauty and lifestyle - and a brand new name. My make up collection grows on a weekly basis, I'm just moving house and have taking over the kitchen recently so I'm excited that I will get to write about these things as I come to them - and feel passionate about them!

So, to kick off my brand-spanking-new blog I thought I'd share some beauty things I have been loving especially since Christmas time which seems so so long ago now!

Firstly, my Naked 2 palette which was very hard to come by around Christmas but ever since I finally tracked one down I've been in love with it and I can see the hype. I wear a little of this everyday for school just to spruce up my lids and I've been playing around with different looks. If you're hesitating, don't! This beautiful NARS blusher is from Guy Bourdin in the colour Day Dream which I love. I think it is a muted, non-shimmery version of Orgasm and it's beautifully pigmented. Perfect for a flush of colour.

I've kept my nails relatively polish-free recently as I've found my nails are super brittle at the moment, but for the times when I just need a little bit of something, I've loved a couple of coats of Essie's Power Clutch, an old favourite stone grey colour which is just a little less harsh than black! A spritz of Addict perfume from Christian Dior is the best way I've found to start my day or my evening! I have been lusting over this for a while and my brother very kindly bought it for me for Christmas. It's also not too large so really good to throw in my handbag incase I need a top up! A slick of Topshop's Hazard has been brilliant for when I want a dark but not too dark red lip. I also love the formula of their lipsticks and this has a semi-matte finish.

The next thing I've been loving is my Rimmel Liquid Eyeliner in 001 Black and this has been my favourite eyeliner for so long. I think it has an amazing formula that stays put all day and I like the felt-tip style nib. I'm not a fan of felt tip eyeliners because I find them too dry but I love this and you can create lots of different eyeliner styles with it. Maybelline's The Rocket should come as no surprise to anyone who has tried it, although I understand mascara is a personal things. This beautifully separates my lashes and has a big brush which is what I look for in a mascara. This, as well as my eyeliner, is a repurchase, so you have my word!

Finally, Maybelline's Brow Drama Mascara in Medium Brown has been amazing since I got it. It makes my brows look so much fuller and I can wear it without powder underneath if I just simply can't be bothered. I was a bit sceptical about trying this at first because of the strange shape of the brush but I think it's what makes it so easy to use!

I hope you enjoyed my recent favourites, I will keep uploading regularly on Saturdays and Wednesdays and I am so glad to be back blogging about the things I love!
